 Braam Botes, HSE/QA Manager, Vanderbijlpark office, South Africa, participated in the World Masters Athletics Champion-ships that took place in Riccione, Italy from the 4th until the 15th of September 2007.
In total 8,940 athletes from 96 countries around the globe participated in this event. Braam achieved a bronze medal in the Heavy Hammer Throw; furthermore he came 5th in the Weight Pentathlon and set a new South African and African record.
Congratulations, Braam, you made us very proud indeed!

The 2007 EDipLM Group 3 recently completed the second workshop of the programme in the Metropolitan Hotel, Dubai on 26th-30th September. This workshop covered various aspects of Kentz operations.

The third workshop is scheduled for early February 2008.
As part of the overall team-building process the EDipLM group took to the slopes in Dubai on 27th September in -4°C, with an outside temperature of 33°C. As can be seen from these photos, skiing was pretty new to all. |
| Santa Comes Early to South Africa |

“Santa Claus!! Gifts!! ‘Make your own Pizza’, Party Packs, Water Wars,
Magic Show, Jumping Castle, Piñata
and lots more.”
This was the invitation that went out to all Kentz South Africa employees, inviting them to bring their little ones along to Kentz Annual Children’s Christmas Party, which was organised by Pat Cass and Haley Barker and held at Picolinos Family Garden Restaurant in Fourways on Saturday 10th November. |
Gavin de Vos, Trainee Planner for Kentz Projects, was coerced by Pat and was a willing “Santa” victim, with Natasha Potgieter, QA/QC Assistant, as his “Elf” helper.
There was an unprecedented response this year, with a total of 76 children attending. The joy on their faces when receiving a gift from Santa made all the planning and hard work worthwhile!
In true Kentz style, the party, which started at 10.30, only finished at around 17.30, when Santa’s weary organisers could finally make their way home. |
