| Thiess Kentz triathlon team with Thiess sports team |
The Thiess Kentz Brisbane-based triathlon team was recently invited to combine forces with the Thiess sports team to take up the challenge of participating in the Annual Business Review Weekly (BRW) Triathlon. Michael Dowling, Estimator, Asten McGurk, Contracts Administrator, and Tom Mangan, Recruitment Officer, made up the Thiess Kentz triathlon team.
The BRW Triathlon is held annually countrywide across Australia and is designed to encourage company “team-bonding” and participation. The 3-person relay race comprises of each person completing a 400-metre swim, a 12-km cycle and a 4-km run before tagging their next team member.
The Thiess sports team managed to attract 60 enthusiastic supporters for the event and the Thiess Kentz competitors did their supporters proud. Well done to all those who took part!

Alan and Martin receiving their certificates from Lawrence Villamin |
On 2nd August 2008 Martin Walsh (Country Manager, Qatar Kentz) and Alan McFadden (Business Development Manager, Qatar Kentz) both received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Philippines Independence Day Organising Committee (PINOC) 2008. PINOC was represented by Lawrence Villamin, president of Alliance of Doha Jarheads (ADJ), one of PINOC's supporting organisations.
The certificates are in recognition of Qatar Kentz's invaluable support during the week-long celebration of the 110th Philippine Independence Day in June. Qatar Kentz partnered with ADJ in providing entertainment for children and adults alike during the celebrations – just one of the many ways of showing its commitment to supporting the different communities that reside in Qatar. |

| A well-deserved night out for a the Qatar Kentz Proposals and Business Development teams |
|
Since the beginning of the year, Qatar Kentz has been awarded a number of contracts, not least of these are the Sidra Medical and Research Centre and several construction packages with Technip on Oryx GTL and Ras Laffan olefins. Credit for these must be given to Hareesh Kumar and his proposals team who are always first in the office in the morning and last to leave at night! Keep up the good work, guys, it is greatly appreciated!
On Wednesday 30th August the Qatar Kentz Proposals and Business Development Departments took an evening out together to celebrate the many hours of hard work that they have put in over the last few months. Twenty Qatar Kentz staff hit "Salsa", the Tex Mex restaurant in the Marriott Hotel in Doha. Feasting on burritos, enchiladas, tacos and tortillas, and with the jugs of frozen margarita flowing freely, a great night was had by all. |
